MEET PETE VANLAW

Pete Vanlaw had already been producing films and TV commercials for many years, having established an enviable track record with major agencies and clients all over the world. Then in 1988 he formed his own company, Western Branch Productions. Not wanting to limit the company to TV commercials, he also produced theatrical and corporate films, music videos, and infomercials. More recently, he broadened WBP’s base by moving into the digital world of VFX and CG Animation by producing all the live action and visual effects elements for two CD ROM games, one of them, "Star Trek/Star Fleet Academy", stars William Shatner, George Takai and Walter Koenig in their original roles of Captains Kirk, Sulu and Chekov.

Meanwhile, he’s worked with clients such as Toyota, Nissan, VW, Acura, McDonalds, Hallmark Cards, Dole, Pizza Hut, Target Stores, Albertson's Markets, American Savings, and Steven Spielberg/Universal Pictures; and leading advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, J. Walter Thompson, Leo Burnett, DDB/ Needham, Campbell Ewald, Ogilvy & Mather, and Foote Cone & Belding. His international client roster has grown to include major agencies and advertisers from England, Canada, Japan, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Indonesia as well..

In addition, he produced an award winning, theatrical short called "Blaze Glory", which was both a hit with audiences worldwide, and its distributors by turning nearly 600% in profits. His corporate communication and infomercial clients include companies like United Airlines, Fairchild Semiconductor, Armor All, Alabama Power, and Secure Horizons.

Prior to the formation of Western Branch Productions, Pete was Executive Producer with a number of leading commercial production companies.

As a working member of the Directors Guild of America, he has many years of experience behind him as a Producer, First Assistant Director, and Unit Production Manager. Also included in his list of credits is his working association with some of the finest award winning feature film and commercial cameramen in the business, along with many top directors as well.
